When we are "saved" God gives us His eternal life, which is an infinite commodity. So I have to ask, if we can squander it, just how infinite was it in the first place.
If we could squander it what kind of assurance would we have that we had a home awaiting us in Heaven?
"[12]He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [13]These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." - I Jn 5:12-13
If we could squander it or turn our back on it after receiving it, how could we ever know?
BTW, glad to see you back. I hope your wife and child are doing better. Thanks, for the Scripture readings.

If we cannot, then why were we given the parable of the prodigal son?
BTW, glad to see you back. I hope your wife and child are doing better.
Thanks. After a visit to the pediatrician yesterday, things are starting to improve. Thanks for the prayer.
Thanks, for the Scripture readings.
No problem ... glad you're enjoying them. I was beginning to think no one was paying attention.
