ksen, I wish I could tell you definitively, but I can't. I have very serious doubts that one can lose genuine salvation, as it is a gift of God. There is much, much more evidence in God's word for not being able to "lose it" than there is for being able to "lose it." But to tell you the truth, I do not know for sure. But I doubt it seriously.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. If it helps any, I believe you are correct that if someone is truly "born-again" they cannot lose that salvation.

I assure you I have taken that scripture in context. Like you said the book of Hebrews is addressed to Jews, and that passage does make reference to the sacrificial system set up by God when the Israelites left Egypt, and it is a perfect example of showing that Christ is the perfect sacrifice and you CANNOT fall away. Like you said. In the old sacrificial system, the lamb or the bull or cleansed passed sins and were temporary. They must be repeated year after year to cover your sins, but Christ was the perfect sacrifice because he solved the issue of sin once and for all. You do not have to sacrifice Him year after year, because his Blood atones all sins for all time, so it is impossible then to fall away, because if you did, that would mean Jesus would have to be re-crucified. You cannot lose your salvation, because the Perfect has come and replaced the imperfect.
