Palestinian Militant Killed by Missile-Witnesses

NABLUS, West Bank (Reuters) - An Israeli helicopter fired a missile at a car in the West Bank city of Nablus on Monday, killing one Islamic militant and wounding another, Palestinian doctors and witnesses.

They said the missile hit the car as it was traveling near an office belonging to Palestinian President Yasser Arafat's Fatah faction. The car was destroyed in the blast and the Fatah office was slightly damaged.

Palestinian officials identified the dead man as Ahmed Marshoud, a member of the militant group Hamas who they said was wanted by Israel.

The Israeli army declined to comment.

The strike occurred a day after Israel renewed a widely criticized track-and-kill policy by shooting dead an Islamic militant it says was behind a deadly suicide bomb attack.

Doctors said the second man was only slightly injured. Palestinian officials said he was also a member of Hamas, which has been behind a spate of suicide bombings against Israel since a Palestinian revolt against Israeli occupation erupted last year.

I'm sure the Israelis requested the PA arrest him. Naturally, the PA refused. So, while he was near Fatah`s HQ, the Israelis sent a powerful message.

The question is why we have not done the same to the Taliban convoy that leaves Kabul every night and returns every morning. It carries the Taliban up level thugs. Looks like despite all the tough talk this is just another PC war. We cannot really win with these half ass measures. As in Iraq ten years ago Colon Powell will keep us from doing anything more than set the stage for more terrorism ten e years in the future. And they will most likely use a nuke then.

Hmmm. The Israelis, in all likelihood, politely requested that the PA arrest and extradite him, and the PA told them to have an improper relationship with themselves.

This falls into the Texan murder defense of "He needed killin'."

"The question is why we have not done the same to the Taliban convoy that leaves Kabul every night and returns every morning."

Let's see, 7,000 Afghani 'militants'. Will it be better if they join the 'northern alliance' or they join Allah? I think they are being given an opportunity to see their 'choice' a little more clearly. MHO.

The 'operative' factor in a 'truly Christian' nation is that 'NONE' would be lost. Maybe what they return to tomorrow morning will cause them to change their allegiance from Osama and the Taliban, to Afghanistan.

I was wondering why they don't hit the convoy also. I guess this is going to be a willie-nillie war. Damn....
