I'm sorry but Bible does mean book. The fact that it starts with BI is just a coincidence. That is why a book lover is a bibliophile.

The Protestant Bible is comprised of 66 books. The Roman Catholic Bible is a little larger. We divide the Bible into OT and NT, but G-d did not. It is one story from Genesis to Revelation.

BI-Ble means two books It's actually the old word for papyrus, based on the name of the Phoenicean city Byblos from where papyrus was imported. Papyrus is what they used to use to write on, like paper. Paper as a word is the modern form of the old word papyrus.
