I don't think Pelayo was empasizing Jesus's diety to that extent.

I do not deny a paradox in the Incarnation. However, neither should one say that Jesus COULD not sin. To say that Jesus was incapable of sin is to deny his humanity. And to suppress either the divine or human nature of Christ is to err.
