Can't use Pledge of Allegiance to comply with law (Pledge Banned in Madison, WI Schools)
The Dells however, are worth defending.

NO. I wouldn't want people to think I approved of everything the city of Madison does. (to paraphrase that idiot teenage girl)
It's unbelievable how the schools do everything in their power to hurt the nations children.
Right now, the kids need these things for security, and the damn school is waving the white flag of surrender!!!
Parents should yank those kids out of there ASAP before any more damage is done to the poor souls.
May the schools reap what they sow someday!
Seriously though, we moved away from there soon after the election, to a conservative area in the center of the state. Life is sooo much better away from that socialist cesspool.
Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw. The grand parade of academicly endorsed transvestites, gay/lesbian groups, transgendered lunatics, and just completely unproductive advocacy groups scurrying about like lemmings without the reward of cliffs was just too sureal for my daughter to stomach. She requested that we not spend the night as planned. She suggested we manuever our GMC diesel long bed through the mopeds, Geo's, and Yugo's, and put as much interstate between us and them as quickly as possible. I really am not looking forward to getting her into the UW system. Hillsdale College is sounding better and better every day.
Wonder if anthrax can be used to innoculate cheese?
Neal Boortz said this today:
We take you now to Rocklin, Calif., where the American Civil Liberties Union has demonstrated just how far to the left the organization really is.
The target of its protest is Breen Elementary School. After Sept. 11, a marquee in front of the school was changed to read "God Bless America."
The ACLU doesn't like this message one bit. They were notified by a parent whose child attends the school and was "greatly troubled by the sign."
On Wednesday, the ACLU of Northern California sent a letter to Breen Elementary's administrators. Staff Counsel Margaret Crosby said the message "must be replaced immediately" and called it a "clear violation of the California and United States constitutions, as well as the California Education Code." She said the words "God Bless America" sent "a hurtful, divisive message." On Friday, she added that "by displaying a religious message, the Breen Elementary School is dividing its young students along religious lines. School officials are hurting and isolating their schoolchildren of minority faiths when they should be supporting them and the values of pluralism and tolerance."
Huh? This isn't a religious expression. The sign isn't saying "God Bless You." It's promoting a patriotic message. How in the hell does a patriotic expression isolate and divide students?
The administrators at Breen Elementary, bless their hearts, won't remove the words from the marquee. Breen Elementary's principal, Terry Thornton, told the Sacramento Bee, "We are planning on keeping up our message."
The ACLU of Northern California says it's "entirely unprecedented" for a school to refuse to take down such a message. In other words, they're not accustomed to resistance.
Let's hope the good folks at Breen Elementary can withstand the pressure from an organization that's becoming less and less credible with every passing day.
You go Neal!!
It isn't worth it for any American to defend Madison, Wisconsin. Let them defend themselves. Perhaps they'll gather in a circle, light candles, and sing kumbaya while they're being attacked.
