I live in NC. Edwards ran on his looks, chrisma and money against old, tired and boring Lauch Faircloth. Faircloth never had a chance. Edwards ran as a very moderate democrat and presto chango trned into a flaming liberal as soon as elected. When reelection time comes, he will campaign as a moderate again. There is no doubt the dems have big plans for him, VP or maybe the Presidential nomination. Have you noticed all the bills with his name on them? There is a reason. Edwards will be formidable, he can really be tough and still smile. I hate to say it, but he will surely be reelected I doubt any serious challenge will be forth coming. The libs in Raleigh/Durham and Charlotte love this guy.
