Subject: TED MAHER--INNOCENT AMERICAN GREEN BERET VETERAN WRONGLY IMPRISONED BY MONACO 784 DAYS WITHOUT TRIAL ON EXTORTED FALSE CONFESSION
Dear Congresswoman Kelly
Thank you for your efforts on behalf of TED MAHER, innocent American Green Beret veteran wrongly imprisoned by Monaco 784 days without trial on extorted false confession.
Please follow up on your letter of November 13, 2001 to Secretary of State Colin Powell on Ted's behalf.
Please enlist the aid of Henry Hyde, chairman of House Committee on International Relations, in like fashion to the efforts of former chairman Ben Gilman.
Surely our president would demand Ted's release if he knew of the outrage committed upon our honorable veteran and the hardship of his wife and children.
How can an authoritarian foreign power so abuse American citizens in the Twenty-First Century?
Surely you will muster unanimous support in our government in a bipartisan demand that this man be freed.
Thank you for your renewed efforts on behalf of Ted Maher.
