Dear President Bush:
I urge you to intercede on behalf of innocent American TED MAHER held in solitary confinement by Monaco 766 days without trial.
Congresswoman Sue W. Kelly (R-19-NY) is working on behalf of Ted, and had the assistance of then-chairman of the House Committee on International Relations, Ben Gilman (R-20-NY). Rep. Kelly has written Secretary of State Colin Powell on Ted's behalf (November 13, 2001) and awaits his reply.
In the meantime, our innocent American GREEN BERET VETERAN TED MAHER has been outrageously framed and isolated from his wife and children for OVER TWO YEARS.
Monaco used four-point restraint, sleep deprivation, beatings, the kidnapping of Ted's wife and theft of her passport, and vile threats on her and on their three young children to EXTORT A FALSE CONFESSION IN FRENCH WHICH TED DOES NOT READ, WRITE OR SPEAK.
Please assist Rep. Sue Kelly in freeing TED MAHER from the two-year nightmare which has cost his children their father, his family their home, and him his freedom as an AMERICAN VETERAN and his rights as AN AMERICAN CITIZEN TO LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.
Mr. President, this is ED POPE DEJA VU AND ONLY YOU CAN RIGHT THIS ENORMOUS WRONG.
