Let's just put it right here where everybody can read what Larry said in his latest press release, so they can COMPARE what the WSJ says and what Larry says and make up their OWN minds.

WALL STREET JOURNAL: BUSH SR. IN BUSINESS WITH BIN LADEN FAMILY CONGLOMERATE THROUGH CARLYLE GROUP
FAMILY HAD RENOUNCED TIES TO TERRORIST SON BUT FAMILY STILL UNDER FBI INVESTIGATION
FATHER OF PRESIDENT SHOULD PULL OUT OF INTERNATIONAL CONSULTING FIRM
(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government corruption and abuse, reacted with disbelief to
The Wall Street Journal report of yesterday that George H.W. Bush, the father of President Bush, works for the bin Laden family business in Saudi Arabia through the Carlyle Group, an international consulting firm. The senior Bush had met with the bin Laden family at least twice. (Other top Republicans are also associated with the Carlyle group, such as former Secretary of State James A. Baker.) The terrorist leader Osama bin Laden had supposedly been disowned by his family, which runs a multi-billion dollar business in Saudi Arabia and is a major investor in the senior Bushs firm. Other reports have questioned, though, whether members of his Saudi family have truly cut off Osama bin Laden. Indeed, the
Journal also reported yesterday that the FBI has subpoenaed the bin Laden family businesss bank records.
Judicial Watch earlier this year had strongly criticized President Bushs fathers association with the Carlyle Group, pointing out in a March 5 statement that it was a conflict of interest (which) could cause problems for Americas foreign policy in Middle East and Asia. Judicial Watch called for the senior Bush to resign from the firm then.
This conflict of interest has now turned into a scandal. The idea of the Presidents father, an ex-president himself, doing business with a company under investigation by the FBI in the terror attacks of September 11 is horrible. President Bush should not ask, but demand, that his father pull out of the Carlyle Group, stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman.
This has the potential of making Billygate (Jimmy Carters brothers dealings with Libya) look like small potatoes, added Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Thanks for the post, SLJP, and thanks for the flag, Howlin. I think you both know that I'm not surprised that JW is embellishing its stories here. I've been showcasing for months now some of the outrageous headlines Larry uses in his "fund raisers"........errrrrrr, I mean "press releases".
I do give Larry credit early on for uncovering some of Clinton's dirty deeds, but for over a year now, more specifically during the presidential campaign, Larry's focus changed. It began around the time he decided to hold a presidential debate and no major candidate showed up to debate. Remember how he trashed Bush and praised Gore because Bush stated early that he would not participate in the debate? Then Gore didn't show? LOL.
BTW, why was JW holding presidential debates in the first place? According to EVERY press release they are "Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government corruption and abuse,". and not "Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that hosts presidential debates".
I have felt for a long time that Klayman has deep 3rd party ties (thus the employment of Russ Verney), but this is only a guess. I will post some of my research on this next, but that is why I believe that Klayman became more interested in making political headlines in the hopes of creating a scandal than actually investigating one. Larry starting appearing everywhere. Wherever there was a hot political news item, Larry was there. How can he possibly be investigating everyone and every news story?
If one takes the time to carefully read Larry's complaints of the last year, most of the "proof" in his "investigations" amount to only a news story in a newspaper or a letter sent to a group or individual in which Larry made demands and the group or individual did not comply. The Tom Delay complaint comes immediately to mind. In most of these cases, any citizen could have filed the same complaint as Larry did (especially the Condit Anne Marie Smith grand jury request). He just gets more bang for his buck because he's Larry Klayman.
