Apparently they think dogs are unclean and somehow lesser than other animals. Using the same logic, you could say the same thing about another race of people. Try explaining that to them, they can't see it.

The muslims believe that angels will not come to a house that has dogs, and they think that they black and white dogs are evil, and I read in one place that they should be killed. Poor little dogs, and the devil does not like them.
