UT won't get rid of Jensen for what he published and said. The decision-makers are largely impervious to criticism of this nature. What would make a difference is if alumni fund-raising were suddenly to dry up over this issue. Let the UT administration hear from outraged big donors that are being courted, and it will try its best to send Jensen packing.

My original letter mentioned my refusal to financially support my alma mater until this clown is removed. I am not, however, a big donor. I know a few others but nobody of such great importance as to make an impact.

The university's primary source of income is oil lands in West Texas that were bequeathed to them. But, like any university, fundraising is a major focus.

I find Faulkner's words fascinating in that there must have been quite a sh*tstorm for him to so publicly rebuke a member of the faculty. I suspect there *is* a lot of heat and we need only to keep up the pressure.

Surely he realizes the black eye this guy has given the college that he oversees. And if he *does* take any action, you can bet the howls of censorship and intolerance will be cried amidst the halls of academia. But if Jensen makes himself too great a liability, rest assured his days will be numbered.
