I know that this is a very emotional time for us and we are filled with unprecedented anger but we must not stop thinking.

I posted this article and made the above simple statement. I made one simple request and that is for us to "not stop thinking". I did that on purpose as it seems like a completely reasonable request that neither supports the terrorist actions of Tuesday, nor calls for the blood of any innocents.

I believe the people that are directly responsible for Tuesday's terrorist attacks should suffer a very slow and painful death, but I purposely avoided making any calls to violence because this site is already swimming in hate. All I ask is that we simply don't stop thinking.

On the Balkan threads I am often accused of being a rabid anti-Muslim and ultra-nationalist, and now I'm accused of being an apologist for terrorist. I think I may have a solution. On Balkan threads I will simply plead that the Serbs negotiate with the terrorists and try to be nicer to them no matter how many terrorist attacks are delivered against the Serbs. I will plead with the Serbs to start negotiating with the KLA and Bosnian Muslim terrorists and start compromising the way the US wishes them to, but I will call for the total anihilation of Muslims when it's in reference to the terrorist attacks against America.

On second thought. Nah. I'm just going to keep on thinking.

By the way, I've chosen to flag all of you because, sadly, you folks are the only few on this thread to not be offended by a simple call "to think".

With all the respect getoffmylawn, but as you did mention KLA and Bosnian Muslim terrorists, you should have mentioned the Serb paramilitary terrorists of Mladic, Karadzic, Arkan, Martic. Because you don't express hatred towards Muslims concerning this latest tragedy, does not mean that you didn't express it regarding ex Yugoslavia. As though Serbs were innocent of war crimes. At least try to be fair a bit. Or you'r no better then those spewing hate.

Good for you. No one on this thread thinks we should do NOTHING in response to this act. I think it was an act of war, guerilla war. We have a right to defend ourselves, and it seems that this is all that Bush is planning: To take away the ability of possible terrorists to wage this kind of war in the future. I fully support efforts to find and kill terrorists, to defund them by any means necessary, to deter and even topple governments that wage this kind of war. All these are legitimate self-defense. We should also engage in full and free debate about our government's blunders and misadventures that have incited anti-Americanism around the world.

The rabid would-be murderers of women and children on this thread are a disgrace to our country.
