I remembered in all the chaos when so many rumors were floating around: 18 planes unaccounted for. I was working in downtown Dallas at the time, and remembered rumors that one of those planes was headed to Dallas. I must have spent the good part of an hour just looking out the window for anything suspicious. I couldn't get on the Internet so a co-worker was on the phone with his wife telling him what she was seeing on TV. I'll never forget when he said that the buildings had collapsed, I couldn't even comprehend it. I couldn't imagine what it must have been like to see it as it happened on live TV.

I remember very clearly an event that happened at around 7:55am. On Monday, 9/10/01, we had a very bad day at the call center. Our T1 lines went foom, and it was so bad, we had to go to the crappy disaster recovery suite four towns down, and try to continue providing support.
At 7:55am, 9/11/01, I told my co-workers "Well...at least today cant' be NEARLY as bad as yesterday was."
I've never said those words out loud again...
