No doubt that is what they will have to do. There is no other decision to make. An honorable pilot would choose to die crashing his plane into the river rather than follow the hijacker's instructions.

they are saying now that the flight that went down 80 miles south of Pittsburgh was the flight heading to WA. Perhaps that pilot actually got wind of the situation and sacrificed his plane and passengers and self. Or they got shot down.
