I would have to disagree with this statement. I was talking to a friend who lives in Germany and she said that on 9/11, all classes at her school basically stopped and they took time to talk about what happened for the rest of the day. She said that they were watching the news on TV and everyone was very quiet and in shock about what had happened. This is basically what happened at my school as well, except that we don't have the luxury of TVs, so we all piled into a room to listen to the news on the radio. It was a very sad day. I will never forget.
