I remember a shot where, just after the first tower fell, firefighters kept marching in toward the second tower. In the background, you could already hear the high pitch squeels of the ‘’dead alarms’’ each one carried. I didn’t know what the squeel was at the time - but those brave emergency workers knew damn well what that was - and kept going...
