I see it as a way for China to feed the sheeple in the USA their propaganda with Rupert Murdoch and Ted Turners help.
The sheeple will say "Oh China is not our enemy, AOL and Fox News say they are our friend."
I think our Founding Fathers would not approve of major US corporations dealing with our enemy.
I do get your points. But, as I said, they do NOT understand our culture. Exposing their garbage in the U.S. just might do the trick. We're a very sophisticated country media-wise. We're bombarded with commercials and advertising, TV shows, the best movies on the planet and we know (at least media-wise) cr@p when we see it.
OTOH, piping "Friends" into China could completely destroy their culture, just like network TV has done here in America! LOL
