I read the book in 2003 and one thing I took out of it to incorporate into my personal life was his daily walks. He would walk briskly for at least one hour a day (and usually more) no matter what the weather.

I figured he was on to something because he lived to be 90. All this walking does make you feel younger, healthier and gives you energy to do more during the rest of the day. Whenever it is cold or rainy and I feel like staying indoors, I think of John Adams and then I realize I have no excuse.

Didn't know that about John Adams. Now that the weather is good, I want to get out there and walk everyday too.
