Nice Yugo there...make sure you don't tell the author of this piece about the eeeeevil sniper-style grenade launcher on the business end of your new toy unless you've got a mop handy.

A known member of Hezbollah, for example, was convicted in 2001 in a federal court in Michigan for trying to smuggle guns into Lebanon. An undercover agent saw the man buy a weapon at a gun show without a background check. Makes sense...Hezbollah comes to the US to purchase firearms at inflated prices compared to those available for $5 on the streets of Baghdad...../S

I dont see how that can be legal, one man remarked to a friend as he pointed toward a Bushmaster assault rifle the kind of weapon used in the 2002 sniper spree that left 10 persons dead in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Under current law, it is legal.
I dont see how that can be legal, one man remarked to a friend as he pointed toward a Smith and Wesson revolver the kind of weapon used in hundreds of murders in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
Under current law, it is legal.

No coincidence that this article appears immediately following the passage of CCW in Kansas.

I see you are well versed in nuance. A very important aspect of gun and gun paraphernalia ownership in this day and age. I have a good friend who's son has a manufacturers license and thus I am able to be lectured and educated on legal nuance. All for my own protection, as the law is nuanced such that one little mistake could make you a felon faster than you can blink.
Not an ideal situation, but one that has come about by the blind and sometimes evil nuancers who are hell bent on protecting the so called law abiding, and in so doing are bringing the law abiding into the nuance net designed to protect them from evil scoff laws who don't give a nuance about nuthin. Thus, legal nuance ought to be a high school required subject long before recess and shorthand.

KCMO is a tiny swath of blue in a sea of red here in MO. Thankfully, I live just oustide the metro where freedom is the rule of the day.
Did anyone else notice it's "anti-gun" day today on FNC?

....Critics contend that the biggest problem is a legal loophole that allows criminals and others who are prohibited from buying a firearm to obtain guns from unlicensed sellers at guns shows.... This "legal loophole" is the US Constitution which in NO WAY prohibit the sale of firearms between citizens. The requirement for background checks does not exist between individuals. And, for a felon/criminal, etc. to purchase a firearm from another individual is still illegal on the felon's part, even if it is at a gun show or in other public/private venues. In other words there is no loophole. This is just a lie that gun haters use to make idiot Americans (i.e., DEMs and moderate conservatives) think gun shows are 'pulling a fast one.'

Private indviduals can sell personal weapons to other private indviduals without a license. This is the "loophole."

2) When are they gonna get it through their heads that when you and I want to trade or privately buy or sell guns we don't need a gun show? Please don't feed the bears.

I'm sure it does. Actually it can vary by show! Many shows will require that the individual do the paper work and the instant check.

I seriously doubt that any of those Stoner pattern rifles are "assault rifles". (Can you tell me why?) As they are USA made, NONE of them are "assault weapons" (under Federal law), although the manufacture and sale to private citizens of the lower two would have been prohibited during the ten years of tyranny. The bayonet lugs are evil and protruding handles are evil.

Y'all have missed out on the fun ...
'long about ten years ago, some butthead (skinhead neo-nazi looking kind of guy) tried to steal a pistol from a dealer at a Baltimore, MD area gun show. That dealer, two neighbouring dealers, and some attendees tackled him, cuffed him, roughed him up a bit, and held him face down (REALLY down ;'} ) on the floor while the MD State Police made their way over to formally arrest him.

Gun shows are one of our main problems, said Kansas City Mayor Pro Tem Alvin Brooks. These are the guns that end up on the streets of America. How do you deal with such idiocy?
To: jmq
But the shows which gained popularity in the 1990s and now number in the thousands nationwide. Gun Shows have been around for 50 years or more.
Ignorant Kansas City RED Star reporter misquoting and lying as usual for that newspaper.
The Kansas City RED Star is anti-gun. Period !
They never let the truth get in their way of bias reporting.
