What's the over/under on blown tires this weekend?
I'd say 4-5 wrecks caused by tires, and another 4-5 cars limping to the pits with a blown right front. Some of these guys like alot of camber on that right front so they can get around the shallow end of the track good, so there is alot of stress on that tire when you do that. The surface there is like 50 grit sandpaper. I went there in spring '01, and stood at the fence on the backstretch. I got pelted with so much rubber in the time of 5 or 6 laps, that I had to go back up. I had rubber chunks all over me by the time the race was over!
