It's a unit/squadron/something somewhere who adopted this mage as their mascot. Of course the unit/squadron/whatever numbers went in one ear and out the other... :o/

Here is another good site for nose art research: http://www.b24bestweb.com/Default.htm. They claim to have over 3300 photos, arranged by name. Couldn't find "Death dealer" though.
