I agree, and I am also a redhead of scottish descent. Especially since the article says that the neanderthals apparently died out while in spain and southern france. Shouldn't there be a larger population a redheads in that region if so. The science in this article sound highly suspicious.
I harkend back to Clan of the Cave Bear for a moment while reading that article. It occurred to me that there aren't a lot of blonde-haired blue-eyed Spaniards or French, either. Last time I checked, blonde was a by-product of red.

The Celts originally were settled in Spain and France. And there are redheads there. But most of the mainland Celts were conquered and now the main remnant of the tribe are settled in the Northern Islands.
