Change the chain to HEB and I'm with you. The other day they had a one of those small portable freezer bins stocked with high priced national pizzas. The sale sign on the bin had a great price of less than $3. Only problem was down in the lower corner in small print you learned the price wasn't for the pizzas in the bin at all, but for the store brand pizzas. That same day, I noticed several dishonest practices so not only took the time to write an in-store complaint but also emailed the headquarters. I requested a reply but of course never heard back. That wasn't the first time I'd requested a reply and have NEVER gotten one.

Boo, HEB!!!

I think like any store it depends on your local store. Our HEB is great - nice staff, always well marked prices.

But I only shop there when I need something "quick" - the bulk of my shopping is done at Costco for meat, cheese, butter, milk and a few frozen things - then Walmart for just about everything else. HEB is just generally too expensive.
