Thanks Gabz. It's even better (or worst depending on which side your on) in person.
The only point I disagree with you on is your idea of protesting AFTER a ban closed your favorite watering hole.
The time to protest bans is BEFORE they are enacted.
I know I'm preaching to the choir saying that to you - but there are some folks that just don't seem to get it. And the worst culprits are the owners themselves that didn't stand up for themselves or arm themselves with this type of informatin before the bans get enacted.
When the ban in Delaware was first proposed I was appalled at how few of the local bar owners were willing to get involved because it excepted their establishments and they didn't want to work with the restaurant association to fight it. Guess what - the restaurant association did an about face and supported the ban once the bars were included. You wouldn't believe the numbers of bar owners that called me then wanting to know what they could do...........
The restaurant association in Delaware is controlled by the chains, not individually owned businesses.
