I don't want more government intrusion in my life, but as I said, if it helps even one person quit or not start or not be affected by SHS for x amount of time, it's a good thing. You're obviously entitled to your opinion, but you're using the rationale that liberals say about virtually every proposal they want, particularly the part about how "if it helps even one person."
I don't think that being against smoking has to be a liberal position. And I don't think desiring that no one would have to endure the horror of lung cancer is a liberal, position, either.
At least I didn't say, "It's for the children!"
