95% of all lung cancers are caused by smoking. No smoking, no lung cancers.

I don't think so. Not to long ago I read (here on FR) that a total nonsmoker had a 2% chance of getting lung cancer and a 2 pack a day had an 8% chance after 20 years. That doesn't add up to 95% smoking related. Actually, if you think about it, if you smoke 2 packs a day for 20 years and get lung cancer, there is a 25% chance that it would've happened anyway. Not to say that smoking is OK, but the dangers are really inflated.

Smoking doesn't cause lung cancer? hmm...where is it coming from then?

Good question. Now, if I could only figure out where my all-natural-eating, nonsmoking, nondrinking, pure-of-all-things, loving, sinless Christian grandfather got pancreatic cancer I'd be happy. I'm sure that his agnozingly slow death was all his fault somehow. And I'm sure that my just-as-pure great aunt would accept that it was the nonexistant cigarettes that she was never exposed to that killed her of emphysema. Or perhaps it was the cotton fibers she was sitting around while attending her Tuesday night quilting party. (Yes, folks die of emphysema who have never touched or even been around smoke.)

People die. It's not fair. No one can avoid it and sometimes it's nobody's fault.

The judgmental attitude that the two of you exude is shameful. What business is it of yours who takes their child into an establishment where it is perfectly legal to take them? Why do you get to ride the moralistic high horse and point your crooked finger at Gabz?

Your attitude is a much poorer example for children, I certainly hope you didn't have any!

Proper netiquette is you include the name of a person you are speaking about or questioning in the "TO" section of your post......

when you get it right..........you may get a response.

You said, "I would put good money on the antis fighting this tooth and nail to keep it from becoming a reality".

I'll see your bet and add a house, a boat, and a lake cabin. You have hit the prediction of the day, and you are ON THE MONEY!

It isn't about saving millions, and millions of lives, it's about controlling our lives.

My thinking is that this will be defunded and put in a vault somewhere, and labeled as a dead research study in the next 9 months.

I agree with your thinking - but I don't even give it 9 months.

My husband died of lung cancer and it was a horrible death. I hope this will eventually be a cure for all those who have lung cancer.
