I saw Roy at a small theater a few years ago. I was close enough from the stage to shine his shoes. The man put on one of the best shows I have seen.
Don't let the "Aw, shucks, I used to be on HeeHaw," schtick fool you. The man can PLAY. He can sit down and play with anybody, anywhere. The fact that he had the nads to trade licks with Joe Pass on an album is all you need to know.
