SORRY THAT OFFENDS YOU. Doesn't offend ME at ALL. I, too, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, who is now a grown woman with a babe of her own. When I was pregnant with her, we didn't have all these anti's crying foul at that time. But it didn't stop ME from growing up, seeing her go off, get married and have her own child. She never had health problems, even with her dad and I smoking. Of course we weren't ignorant no-gooders who blew smoke in her face. We had a lot more couth then THAT. But it didn't hurt HER and here I am ..........still living to see my GRANDCHILD.

Thanks, when the doc handed out the "good" news I tried very hard not to freak out...
Held on till I got to the truck. Then I lost it.
It's not cancer, but open sores in the lung... (eck)
There has been improvement in the few weeks since I quit.
I'm hoping for the best.
And cancer doesn't run in either side of my clan either SL, but that doesn't mean that some other creeping crud can't take me out slowly and painfully..
Rather go the plane crash way, if you know what I mean.

Rather go the plane crash way, if you know what I mean. Your certainly in my prayers. I too had two major cancer surgery's in my life (An NO, not from smoking!)so listen to your teams of Doctors and take your treatments. And above all, keep your spirit high. That is what got me through it! My spirit. I refused to let it get me down. You go for it, promise me?

Well, if you own Ford Motors then you might have a cause to gripe about what standards that private company sets for its employees and visitors.

Hey, I didn't smoke around my son either. It wasn't about his health (ok, maybe a little), it was about mine.
The smoking was killing me, and I do want to see him grow up, I do want to see grandchildren. The added benifit is that I'm setting @ $30.00 a week back for a Single Action Shooting Society rig... will not have it by Xmas but should be there by the time the weather turns.
That wasn't likely to happen if I kept smoking.
Glad to hear that your health is good and your family is healthy and growing. May all of you live long and happy lives, smoking or no smoking.

The smell of cigarette smoke can be washed off - the STENCH of narrow mindedness such as you display is bone deep and can not be cleansed.
That is disgusting.

I'm really tired of people telling me I stink.
F*CK all of you
I'm not saying, and never have said, I should be able to smoke a cigarette, or a pipe, or a cigar, or tire rubber, or oak leaves anywhere I desire.
If the property owner wants to make their business nonsmoking, without government coercion, I have no problem with that.
After the same fashion, if a business owner wants to allow smoking in their business they should have that liberty.
Don't start telling me how ETS kills - The three largest studies done to date have found no statistical evidence that ETS cuases any lasting physical harm to anyone that doesn't have a pre-existing medical condition.
You don't like the smell of tobacco smoke? Fine. Don't go where people smoke tobacco.
Try a little personal responsibility.
For all of you out there that care about my health so much that you would use government coercion to MAKE me stop smoking - F*CK U SOCIALISTIC B*ST*RDS.

Yeah but very little of the debate here is about property rights if it doesn't support a smokers addiction. That's BS and you know it.

Well, if you own Ford Motors then you might have a cause to gripe about what standards that private company sets for its employees and visitors.Do you not READ?????????????
The change was prompted by pressure from state officials and anti-smoking groups, who claimed the Ford policy violated Missouri's Clean Indoor Air law.

Were not the smokers being personally responsible and wearing smoke collector helmets and air purifier backpacks? If not, then it's hard to see where their gripe is. Perhaps they should consider injecting nicotine instead.

Injecting nicotine would be the responsible thing to do.

Got a chip on your shoulder as big as a house dear!I smoke too, but I at least acknowledge that it stinks like hell, and I know that no matter how much 'smell-pretty' stuff you use, if you smoke in the house non smokers can smell you coming. And it really smells bad. You just can't smell it.
I also know that I cough like heck the next day when I have been out at a bar chain smoking and having a great time. And that little nagging cough... just to clear your throat in the morning. You act like it is having no affect on you all you want.... Act like addiction is some foreign idea like you did at post 49, and that you have been smoking all these years only because it brings you joy. You are not fooling me.
I have never worked in a place that allowed smoking just anywhere inside, and I think that is a good thing.
