Yeah, it stinks like anything to be forced to do this before I was 'ready' to.
I'm going to build my own system from scratch.
Usually cheaper that way.
That, and I have more control over what is there and what isn't.
I'm looking into a motherboard (AMD socket A) using the Nforce2 Ultra 400 chipset.
The 'building' memory and processor are going to change, of course.
I'm going to get a 'cheaper' processor and memory at first before going to something utilizing the 400 MHZ bus.
But the thing for now is to get it up and running.
This will take some time, but it's not something I HAVEN'T done before.

My father is cracking wise about building a "hronking game machine".
That will be in a small while.
(XP 3200, Liquid cooling, Nvidia FX 5900 or such... Dual channel PC3200 400MHZ DDR...)

But, that is still future.
At the moment the goal is to get it up and running.
