Well, I've already done both the TBD and Dauntless, with todays thread, they deserve a second look.
MIDWAY - one of my favorite battles of WWII and a great movie to boot. I saw it in the theater when I was a kid, and watch it on TV anytime it's on.
The bravery of the TBD crews was extraordinary.

Midway is one of my favorite war movies, too, although I think the human interest story was pretty lame. I like to watch Midway in video to zap those scenes and stick to the battle story line.
I did the same with Pearl Harbor and found I could actually stand to watch the movie, although Tora Tora Tora is the best movie on the subject.
I understand that some footage shot for Tora Tora Tora was actually used in the Midway movie.
