Today if this happen the liberal media would surrender the first day and not tell the truth, but side with the enemy.

Greetings to all in the Foxhole! It is a joy to be here, however briefly.

I wanted to let you know that we have put out a general ping for Prayer Warriors to mobilize over at the Troop Prayer thread. There have reportedly been credible threats against American interests in Saudi Arabia, elsewhere, and even perhaps stateside. For those who are so inclined, we invite you to join us in timely prayer for God to intercede in this matter. Lurkers' prayers are welcome!

An intercessory prayer on this matter is posted at 260 for your convenience.
Thank you so very much!

LOL! Yeah they'd be asking what we did to get the German's mad enough at us to be torpedoeing our ships and telling us how great Hitler was, just like Joseph Kennedy did.

That is a lovely story about the Civil Air Patrol. Our people did a fine job. Wish I could have been there.

I've done Anti-submarine Warfare exersizes in my Navy days. Very difficult, requires extremely long periods of high vigilance and effort for every contact. And then the contact is more high vigilance and effort. Even in peacetime sixteen hour days plus night watches.

What those CAP people did is real ASW. Makes me proud.

This is a good one. Thanks. Looking forward to your telling the Crete story. The Fallschirmyaeger who were there wore their "Kreta" cuffbands with pride. The British commander, Bernard Freyberg of the New Zealand Division, is the only man to ever recieve two awards of the Victoria Cross.

General George Marshall had to read the riot act to Admiral King, Chief of Naval Operations, before King would do his plain duty and protect the east coast shipping and really fight the U-boats in the spring of 1942. This is to the everlasting shame of the United States Naval Service. I for one do not forgive Admiral King, and never will. Nor FDR either.

Are you a cat person? I think you said you had dogs, right? The Mother's Day snaffu!! LOL

Here are some cat tid-bits.

Cats can see up to 120 feet away. Their peripheral
vision is about 285 degrees.

The tiniest cat on record was Tinker Toy from Illinois.
A male Himalayan-Persian, he weighed 1 pound, 8 ounces fully grown and was 7.25" long and 2.75" tall!
(Now that's an itty-bitty kitty!)
