Thank you for the flag! Very interesting. Every once in a while, I'll listen to the surviving members of the Brigada 2506 and their wives speaking on Miami Cuban radio. One member spoke of going ashore and hiding out until a young boy who appeared to be from a Cuban farm family found him. Knowing that Fidel's Communist Party had already had much success in creating hostility against the middle class and upper socioeconomic classes on the part of the rural Cuban community, he was sure that he would be turned in to the Cuban police, but that child and his family and almost the whole little country town hid him for days until he could be rescued. He said the family and the town were searched and questioned, but they would not turn him in!

My shovel? I had it surgically attached to myself last night so I won't forget, didn't you know, ROFL! (I hope the shovel thing isn't a joke that I don't get right, haha). I don't know if he had time to look yet (we both have our own computers, isn't it great, hehe). He will be online tonight for sure though, I will remind him, thanks :)

More than a secretary and very well appreciated for taking some of the workload over and leaving me to concentrate on the fun stuff.

Thanks Prodigal Daughter. I love hearing about historical events from someone who participated in it. A lot different perspective than what's in the books.

Thanks for sharing that story. These type of posts flesh out the thread and add so much of a personal touch to each topic. You are VERY welcome for the ping/flag.

Surgically attached? I'm afraid to ask where... hahahaha

No, I'm wasn't playing a newbie joke on you about the shovel, just being my goofy self.

But, hey can you do me a favor and tomorrow before you dive into the Foxhole can you pick up a yard of flight line and two gallons of prop wash? Thanks in advance. ;-)

Help yourself, that's one of the other reasons they get posted. Feel free to post any good ones you have, we don't necessarily stay with the theme of the day all day long.

I am glad I found your picture posts!! I was afraid that because of the 'other threads' issues, I would never see you wonderful pictures. I look forward to your pictures every day.

Thanks for all you do.
