Thank you Paul for your good wishes. I appreciate it. This has been a hard holiday season for me, with my step-dad so sick with lung cancer. But it's been good for our family members to spend time with each other and to see relatives I haven't seen in a long time. I hope you have a Happy New Year!

Hi Misty! I'm just here for a little while tonight. "The War" is on here -- Florida State 'Seminoles' vs. University of Georgia 'Bulldogs'! My step-dad is a huge FSU fan, and my mom roots for GA. This is the biggest game of the year in this household!

Hey Jen .. it has taken me some time to gather what I know so far. And there are still many pieces still missing which I hope to find out soon ..

My dad passed away when I was young and I only knew that he was part of the 69th Division of the Army

Recenty with some help from a very nice gentlemen, we seem to think that dad was a Platoon Sergeant from Company K, Third Battalion, 271st Infantry Regiment of the 69th Infantry Division

Like I said there is still more I am trying to research, but it's nice to finally be able to piece it all together after all these years of wondering

Mom always said dad didn't like talking about his time during the war and she once caught him throwing out his pictures. She took them out of the trash and saved them .. thank goodness
