Yep. My daughter's English teacher frowned on her reading "comic books" in class (my Calvin and Hobbes collection). I asked her if she had ever taken the time to read any of Watterson's work. She had not. I had my daughter deliver a copy of "The Essential Calvin and Hobbes" for Christmas. I wrote "Welcome to the world of literary anarchy!" inside the first page. I'll have to follow up on what she thought of the man's evident brilliance! :-D
