I only saw THEM at Fort Drum during AT during 24 hour continuous operations.
At 03:00, the ground starts to ripple like water as you're looking at it. And after that, your ability to speak English degrades. Thank God that Artillery didn't have any women in it...they wouldn't have understood the monosyllabic grunt conversations.

Yes, the monosyllabic grunt conversations were indeed that bad.

Any woman in her right mind would have nailed us all with a shovel to knock us out of our misery so that we could resume normal conversation.
'Honest sir! I don't know what happened. The Opfor came through and then all of a sudden, I'm the only one still on my feet! Yes, there was some hand to hand going on, but since we're in the middle of 24 hour operations and all... they just weren't up to it!'
