I often think about how your generation that served in Vietnam was screwed. I hope you can take comfort in the thought that many of us know you were wronged and express it to others frequently.
For those that served in Vietnam, the cultural treatment now is essentially neglect vs. the hero culture granted to the WWII generation. It’s not right.
The desire and willingness to do ones part, to execute the duty of a citizen, is completely honorable and will always be.
The unfortunate side is the misuse and abuse of these patriotic citizens by the American aristocracy that ‘leads’ the nation.
