I’d rather stay home and eat SOS er...

Agree although I do ‘appreciate’ what they are attempting to do.
Like ‘we’ used to say about feeding the ‘homeless’ Giant Feasts with the ‘well off’ ladling the food out to them.
Rather than that ‘Giant Feast’, am sure most of the recipients would rather the ‘treaters’ donate to the soup kitchen on a monthly basis. AGAIN, am in appreciation for the thought but.............
The way I ‘handle’ the freeby market is take note and on any other day, if I am going to make of choice of where to eat, will more than likely go to the “Vet Friendly” - which, after all, is their ‘bottom line’.
“NOT that there is anything wrong with that”
Same at the Legion and VFW, I never want the ‘free picnic/dinner/brunch’ to be at both places the same day as those are the days I do NOT frequent them.
I understand they ‘have’ to have something on a yearly basis to see who is still ‘alive’ as - universally about 20% (and I am being VERY generous here) support the post on a daily basis.
I asked her do you want to see my VFW card or my VA Card, or my Division assoc. card. She said no you look old enough.
Kind of pissed me off.
Army SOS was made with Hamburger or ground sausage.
I'd never had, or even heard of, SOS until I got some for breakfast while in Marine Corps boot camp. It was so delicious I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!
