VETERAN’S GROUP DEMANDS APOLOGY FROM SEC. OF STATE CLINTON
Sun Valley Chronicle ^ | February 18, 2010 | Not Stated

Video at link As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave a speech at George Washington University yesterday condemning governments that arrest protestors and do not allow free expression - and lauding freedom of speech on the Internet - 71-year-old military veteran Ray McGovern was grabbed from the audience in plain view of her by police and an unidentified official in plain clothes and hustled out of the building and, according to McGovern and his supporters, was “brutalized and left bleeding in jail.”

What McGovern did was simply remain standing silently in the audience and turned his back on her as Secretary Clinton began her speech.

That was it. "

Mr. McGovern has been mentioned on FR before:

and here:

=============== I found it interesting that as HC explained about another country pulling the plug on communications, Mr. McGovern was being removed for turning his back on her speech.

"So this is America"

Why yes. It is.

Might as not not protest if you can't get scuffed up and jailed. I would not have known of Mr, McGovern's patriotic actions if the Beast's police state police had not taken the bait.

What else would you expect? Hillary Clinton is just another self serving progressive ideologue. Hillarycare was just Obamacare with a skirt er pantsuit. She is onboard with everything Obama is up to including trying to silence any form of protest to their ongoing overthrow of the US government.

McGovern was later found to have his arm covered with bruises. The metal handcuffs were fastened so tightly that his wrists were cut and some blood flowed from tee cuts

The reporter writes as carelessly as I sometimes do here.

So easy to despise the Clintons, Carters and feel disdain when considering the Bushes.

I went over to the website for “Vereran’s for Peace” and from what I saw, it is a group that FR would not support.

Caution in order on this one.

That said, I loathe Der Hilderbeast.

I understand and as a Veteran I choose not to support “Veterans for Peace” along with a slew of others as well.

However - someone much wiser than myself once said: “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

He was at a venue and didn’t say a word.

I belong to the VFW and maybe everyone does not agree with it’s principles. I would however hope that FRpers would choose to defend my right to wear a VFW shirt and turn my back on the SOS.

Good point.

McGovern confronted Rummy @ CPAC last week. Goons tried to throw him out and Rummy stopped them. Good for him!
