My father was a ground instructor at Tuskegee. He would have been a pilot but was 4F due to acute asthma. He spoke very kindly of all of those brave men and I know in his heart he longed to be out there flying with them.

When I was a kid the next door neighbor’s son in law was the director of training at Tuskegee, Lewis A. Jackson.
