If you fail to submit... you will meet the tax man.
God forbid, you submit a time card claim for the time spent doing their bookwork. If you insist under state law to get paid even the minimum wage for services rendered as a tax collector and accountant, you will most likely get a letter from the Director of the Internal Revenue Service saying something to the effect that Internal Revenue Code makes no provision so pay individual citizens to collect federal tax and keep their books and records. If you didnt volunteer and you are forced, I guess its involuntary servitude.
In short, you are not immune to involuntary servitude and slavery and you must do the bookwork or be jailed even though it in not punishment for a crime for which you have been convicted. (see the 13th Amendment below)
Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. Section 2. Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
Does the IRS Code supersede the 13th Amendment?
Agree?
Disagree?
We are lucky here in Texas. They will pay you .3% (.003)if you remit your quarterly sales taxes on time. If not, well....you are in deep do-do.
All of us employers are SLAVES to the government, from the local level to the federal level. We are forced to collect taxes and maintain their records free of charge.
We live in an unreal world, where the government has elected to terminate their agreement with the people and the states (the Constitution). They pretty much run roughshod over the people and the courts back them. Very sad.
Folks upset with the way taxes are collected in America should read the history of tax collection. It's very brutal.
I could not agree more. On March 5, 1968 just weeks after the Tet offensive I tossed my 3A draft deferment and walked into the recruiters office. I like others entered into an enlistment contract with the representative of the United States Government. In exchange for enlisting I was guaranteed certain things in writing after discharge which leads me into another area run over roughshod by Uncle Sam.
Every bene was spelled out.
We vets were guaranteed for enlisting in wartime that in our golden years we’d get FREE healthcare and meds at any VA clinic around the world on a priority tier system with active duty personnel first priority, disabled or combat related non active duty next and all other vets 3rd in line but we would be seen.
It was just a few years back when uncle tore up our agreements and established a “Means test” to determine if the veteran should pay for a portion or all of their care at a VA hospital. I now must pay a co-pay. That’s not what we agreed to.
The vets have been screwed over again.

Back in the early 70’s when I lived in Wisconsin I met the tax boys at my business. I even called the local TV crew at WAOW TV-9 in Wausau and they filmed it all. The IRS and Treasury ran around slapping locks on gas pumps and changed the lock in the door.
Why? It seems I put all the tax I collected from my employees into an escrow account and filed my tax form. I told the IRS exactly how much money I had withheld so there would be no argument about defrauding the government or failing to file.
I used a punch card to keep track of every minute I worked on the books for the IRS. At that time, the state minimum wage was $2.10 per hour. I submitted a bill to the Director of the Internal Revenue in Milwaukee for services rendered as a tax collector and an accountant.
The director told me the IRS doesn’t pay taxpayers to do their taxes. I responded when they paid me I would sign off on the account and they’d get their money.
Unless you are willing to suffer the consequences of what I say here my advice is don’t. The US Attorney General became involved and urged the IRS to quietly settle. It seems nobody had ever used the 13th amendment to tell a bunch of bureaucrats off.
This story is much longer than this and involved state police, the county sheriffs department, Treasury and the IRS in an armed standoff. All I’ll say is at the end, the IRS wound up returning every single item and they found at audit, a deduction I had missed and they had to cut me a check for a few hundred dollars.
I had the help from a few honorable cops that were personally involved. When the Chief of Police asked me if I’d give him my .357 Magnum sidearm and I did. I then helped defuse the situation and told nearly a dozen of my armed friends to leave and I thanked them all for standing with me. The Chief unloaded my handgun and tossed it on the front seat of his squad car and told me to stop in the office the next day and he’d give it back. I did and he did.
If they are still alive after all these years, I’d like to thank Chief Bernie Check, Deputy Joe Toath and Deputy Ron Pospyhalla all of the Rothschild, Wisconsin police department.
In my entire life, I have never spent 1 second behind bars because it is I that follows the law.
Speaking of quarterly taxes, don’t forget to estimate and submit the income tax you will owe on your social security stipend.
Anyone who pays income taxes is a slave. The percentage slave is determined by your income level. Money is a representation of your life force. The more they take the less life you have.
I don’t mind paying legal taxes and don’t mind it if the tax is used for what the constitution says it should be used for such as defense, creating roads, and a post office etc.
Let’s face it. The only thing any person has that more valueable than good health might be children. We rely on government funded research to cure many illnesses. We can grow organs now that do not require rejection medicine. Some day that may save the life of one of my grandchildren and for that, no tax is unreasonable if the money is spent wisely.
That is the real point afterall. They use the money to do things that our contract with them prohibits. We no longer have the 17th amendment to protect us from federal abuse.
I agree with you here. What amendment or article gave this administration the authority to buy GM and fire the CEO of a private corp? None. It was payback for union support since they now own 20% of GM and the board will be stacked with union supporters.
That is why I support these town hall meetings however nobody that is not registered to vote or anyone not living in the district of the politician should be allowed in. Let those people go to their representative’s town hall. That should apply across the board for everyone to avoid stacking a town hall with bus loads of people that don’t have a dog in the fight within that district.
Ping.
inservitude? I meant involuntary servitude.
Please read up on what MAN50D in Post #13 wrote you.
Please study well:
Don’t draw any conclusions until you’ve seen all the debate here on FR. There are a lot of disinformation posters on the FairTax (no space between r and T). And you will need to see where they are spinning and lying. Once you see it, you will be ready to spread the word.
And if you like American history on taxation, then you will at once understand this legislation puts Americans back on track with what the founders intended. And not only that it corrects a historical flaw in the pre-1913 taxation system, a flaw that is known as the ‘disproportionate burden’ problem. This problem was used to promote and eventually make legal the Income tax without apportionment. But with today’s technology, we don’t need the income tax to relieve the tax burdens on the poor.
Much more on this. Any questions please fell free to ask.
I’d love a national sales tax however:
1.) When did the federal government ever give up power and control?
2.) Our elected Representatives do not follow the wishes of their constituents now, so what is the chance they will tomorrow and pass a national sales tax? ZIP! NADA! NONE!
3.) Let’s remove them from office. Here’s your choice on the ballot. Republicrat or Democan
I hear you loud and clear and there is an answer.
First, in the link that I gave you there is a grassroots movement that is adding 800 members a day on average, seven days a week.
Secondly, it takes about 3000 member activists in each district to turn the district’s member of congress to support the legislation. So far, the FairTax legislation (H.R. 25) has more member support by far than any other tax reform legislation. For example, the FairTax has the support of about 75 members of Congress whereas the Flat tax has about 6. The FairTax is the largest by far and it is larger than the member support for the last major tax reform of Ronald Reagan in 1986.
But the FairTax movement needs democrats. I have made presentations of the FairTax movement to bipartisan business groups and union rank and file members (mostly democrat) and they like it very much. In fact they get excited about it.
As for the timing, We must think in years and decades. The Income tax without apportionment started in 1861 as an emergency revenue measure during the Civil War. But it was shot down in court many times as being unconstitutional. But it kept coming back, and kept getting shot down until 1913 when it was made legal and constitutional by amendment.
It took 52 years for the Income tax! (1861 to 1913)
The FairTax has only been at it for about 12 years.
I would like to see poetic justice of a FairTax signed into law in 2013, exactly 100 years after Americans were duped in 1913.
The original income tax code was 14 pages long and was intended to affect less than 2% of the wealthiest Americans of the time. Americans were lied to!
There’s a lot more. much much more. Keep asking questions and keep learning about it. You could be a fine leader in your local chapter for the FairTax.
And talk to your neighbors and associates who are democrats. We won’t get the FairTax without democrats and independents. Talk to them. You will find as I did that the FairTax is UNIFYING. It unites Americans from all backgrounds and persuasions. And tell then that one of the original thinkers of the FairTax consumption tax component was a democrat US Senator named Paul Tsongas from Massachusetts. That way they won’t think it is just a Republican idea, because it is not.
The FairTax is more than a consumption tax. It is legislation that has the following components:
1. Consumption Tax
2. Collection Authority
3. Rebate
4. Enforcement
5. Abolition of Income Tax Code
6. Transition
and much more.
Please do take the time to study. Commit yourself to a 3 month study or more so that you will be prepared to handle all questions about the FairTax and especially to take on those that spread lies and disinformation about it.
The more people that get educated about it, the more the FairTax movement snowballs and the faster will be its enactment.
Amen to post #18!
Pansgold, I first got interested in tax reform during the Steve Forbes campaign with his flat tax plan. But then I realized the flat tax is an income tax and under the 16th amendment, any income tax no matter how flat will metastacize into tax cancer like we have today.
So I started hearing about the FairTax and wondered about it. Long story short, I studied and studied and debated and debated the FairTax. It was like being struck by lightning. Once ‘you get it’, you can’t think of anything else.
But it takes time to ‘fully get it’. Because if you’re not fully prepared you can get blindsided by those that have a vested interest in keeping the Income tax (and they are relatively few in number). The FairTax has become a battle of propaganda in the media between 23,000 tax gaming Beltway lobbyists and 144 million tax filers. Guess who is gonna win when the FairTax movement reaches critical mass? And what helps achieve critical mass? Full Preparation and Education!
