I was called today by an organization called the Foundation of American Veterans soliciting contributions for Louisiana soldiers. I inquired what they did.
I was told that they provide supplies to the local VA. I asked for a physical address for my Louisiana Vets, (123 Main St. Hobnob, LA 71007) and was put off. I then proceeded to tell this snot nosed, ass-hat that if couldn't tell me, give me your supervisor.
The sup came on the line, and told me how great this "foundation" was. He proceeded to try and pump sunshine up my ass, until I "politely" requested this NOT-FOR-PROFIT organizations' overhead. It's frappin' 80%!!
I told the sup to kiss my Marine Corps Ass, and to call me back when 98% of the donations go to Vets.
Thanks Sgt Bob...these remf’s always seem to be around like tote-the-note car lots outside stateside forts...”we are here for the soldier”

Good job. Great question regarding the overhead. I’ll remember that.
I have heard that there are a ton of illegitimate companies out there looking for money claiming to help our troopers.
