Something else to consider: You never know when they're travelling on STANDBY, which is even worse than travelling by air with a regular ticket these days....so they can be stuck in the airport for hours on end.

So if you don't travel and have the opportunity to do this kind of stuff face-to-face, consider making a contribution to the USO.
