After running warm water over its back, it is a good idea to check the glands at the base of the Cairn terrier’s tail.
There are two musk glands that can clog and become infected. Simply locate each gland and gently squeeze your index fingers together.
A yellowish fluid will be excreted and you can continue bathing your little friend.

We had a cat that used to get infections in those glands. It was gross.
