We lucked out here and at least have DSL out in the sticks. We didn’t have that in Georgia.
Hope your new rural home has something to offer besides dial up.
Sounds like ya’ll found the ideal place this time. Good for ya’ll, we all need that.
RE: DSL in the sticks, since we both work at home, dial-up is definitely a no-no. We have to check out the high-speed availability at each place before we look at it. It is possible that we may end up going with satellite, but the place we are currently considering actually has DSL available.
Dunno yet is we’re gonna like that place or not, haven’t gone in yet, just drove by to have a look from the road. We like everything from the road... LOL... because you can barely see the house from the gravel road. It’s about 100 yards down a tree-lined driveway behind a locked gate. Pretty much all you can see is the picket fence and big front porch, the rest is hidden by trees. Realtor.com has some good photos of the place and we like those so we’re planning to have a look-see soon as we can.
