Going Ok. I'm taking a emotional health day. This mom stuff is taxing.
Spiderboy is busy tring to avoid doing scholl. Bittygirl is enthralled in her world. She and I built a road grader the other day. Her idea. Kewl.
She just turned on the vacuum cleaner.
And scared the bejusus out of herself.
LOL! Oh my gosh, too funny.
My mom's living will has been found. Her wishes, in conjunction with doctor's assessments of the stroke damage have lead to the decision to withdraw the respirator, etc.
May the Lord be with you and your family. Prayers up.
Sorry to hear the news though I'm glad your family found the will. Prayers for strength.
Strength and grace to your family in this trying time, just as your mother would have wished.
I saw a road grader working a bank of soil one day, and I realized for the first time that the inspiration for making the road grader came directly out of the carpentry shop.
A road grader is a carpenter's plane, gouge, and rabbeting tool as implemented by a tractor.
Thanks. BTW, What are those flowers? My mother has some of them growing wild in her otherwise San Augustine only yard.
Good morning Peanut Gallery.
The flowers are Bluebells. Lovely aren't they.
Ok, only the Lord knows whats happening. Last night, after all the life support was removed, mom was moved to a different room.
She woke up. Signs are still grave, but who knows.
Indeed P.E., the Lord knows what's happening.
Continued prayers for you and your family.
Hi PE, yes, the Lord knows and we trust him.
I know this must be so difficult for you and your family. Just know that you have friends here who care.
We wish we could help. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
I've heard strange stories before. Lord only knows.
Me words are failing me this morning regards your Mom. You and the family will of course remain in our thoughts.

Made it by the USS Alabama in Mobile. Did not get to tour the ship as Dad's legs were bothering him. No problem there as I will get back to Mobile again. Also went over to the Naval Avaition Musuem in Pensacola. Pretty nice place the Naval Aviators have. Several interesting types of aircraft are hanging around the musuem, and I mean that litteraly!!!
Dad and I didn't do too much in Mobile mainly visitied with my brother and his family. Lots to see there so maybe that will be next years vacation.
On the way back to St Louis we stopped in Vicksburg to check out the Vicksburg National Miltary Park. Also in the Park is the USS Cairo Musuem. The Cairo was a Carondolet City Class gunbaot that was sunk in the Yazoo river by a torpedo, aka mine, in December of 1862. The ship was raised in 1965 IIRC. I have a book on the Cairo called "Hard Luck Ironcald".
The Park has about a 16 mile drive through it with a number of stops where you can get out and view the area. The two most impressive, in my opinion were stop #1, Degoylers Battery and #3 Third Lousianna Redan. From Degoyler's Battery you had a really good view of the Third Louisanna Redan. It did not take much imagination to go back to 1863 and the fight for Vicksburg.
At the Third Louisanna Redan stop you can see the remmnant of the mine that Union forces fired on June 24,1863. Fighting was fierce for over a day before the Union forces pulled back. Throughout the park the Union positions are marked with blue and white signs and the Confederate positions are denoted with red and white signs. For more info onn the Park Tour you can go to (Vicksburg Tour)
Well I have to get going will be back later.
