Lt Winters was an amazing man and his story is fascinating. "Band of Brothers" is a must read book and the HBO Mini-series is excellent.
IMHO, Damian Lewis was cast perfectly as Lt Winters.

Thanks for the post. What a man. Winters just epitomizes the American citizen soldier. A ninety-day wonder who kicked the crap out of the pro's in the Wermacht and their master race.
BTW, I've thrown some strong hints and I think I'm getting a copy of the mini-series for Christmas.

IMHO, Damian Lewis was cast perfectly as Lt WintersAmen. But imagine my surprise when I found out that Damian is a Brit. Guarnere was also cast perfectly. When they interviewed him, I knew it was him even if they didn't say who he was.
