Aw, you guys, I'm going to miss your threads. They have entertained and educated me; the first thing I looked for in the morning when I turn on the computer. I've bookmarked so many in my "History" & "Confederate History" files, they look like Free Republic files instead, and I've used many of your articles for our historical programs at U.D.C. meetings. You helped me so much to find information on my father's service -- more than I could from the Veteran's Administration (their files had burned), and even led me to find a relative buried at Camp Chase, Ohio. Three generations of genealogists didn't know he had taken his step-father's name during The War. It was wonderful sharing the flags in our church with you. It brought pride to my heart and tears to my eyes to see them so beautifully displayed, then to be able to share the experience with like minded friends made it even more wonderful.

Thank you Humal. Being able to help others or see someone open up and discuss their experience or talk about family members on the thread were the special moments for us.

We knew we were accomplishing more than most could see and it truly blessed us. We enjoyed everyone's participation, on screen and off and we will miss it.

Like we said, we'll be around just not everyday. We will try to make time to post on special days to those of us here of like mind.

Thank you for your support over the years.

You're the first post that brought tears to my eyes this morning. I'm sure I'll find some interesting WBTS battle or skirmish to post and I'll be sure to ping you. This day makes me feel like the day I had to put down my first dog, I thought that was hard, almost feel like a part of me is being amputated. :-(
