My wife feeds all year. I notice that feeding materials last a long time in the summer, maybe twenty times longer.

When people run to get indoors instead of run outside to play there will be a cry of "Oh, those poor birdies!".

Pray for bad weather!! Freezing rain! Ice storm! Then a nice below zero sunny day with mild winds!

You will sell out.

LOL. You're right. In summer the birds have their "natural" foods available so they visit the backyard feeder less often but still rely on it for at least 30% of their diet. They are also less active in high heat. Your wife is smart to feed all year long. During the fall is when birds scout out where they will be eating during winter.

Come on bad weather!!! :-)
