To everybody else I would like to point out how much time it takes to put together a thread. The last thread I did on the Battleships I spent over three straight hours sitting at the computer to put the thread together. On the other two threads I posted I probably spent two hours straight to get the thread up. This is not counting the time I spent in pre- production work.
The point of all this rambling is to try and give folks an idea on just how long it takes to post a Foxhole. Even if you know what your doing, and I wish I did, I figure it's about an hour and half minimum to post a decent thread.
SO any how hats off to SAM, snippy and Anti-Jen for almost three years of Foxhole threads. I reckon that there were in excess of 4000 effort hours in just posting the Foxhole threads over the last almost three years and that ain't counting any research time.
One more pic for the loyal denizens of the Freeper Foxhole. A classic aircraftr for a couple of classy folks :-)
Best Regards

Thanks alfa6. LOL. I can't believe you aren't on the ping list. How did that happen?
Jen posted the first thread, that's all, everyone after that was Sam until I came along. Jen was instrumental in getting permission from JR to have a daily back then but I have to step in to say the work was all done by Sam.
That being said the hardest part is finding pictures or drawings to go with material you find which usually does not have pictures. Then deciding where you want them within the articles. Coming up with ideas takes time too, especially after 1,000 of them are already done. LOL. First the idea, then find the material, then the pictures then put it all together. Phew!
We truly did love it when we had the time, it was a labor of love.
P.S.
You have two new EMAILS. ;-)
There was a time I had at least 2 weeks of threads "ready to go", did last minute updates and tests. That was more than a year ago, most times I've only been a day or two ahead and some had to be last minute. That's when we realized we just couldn't keep it up anymore on a daily basis. Thanks for threads you did, the plane walk-throughs were great.
